Wild Woods & River Conservation: Kukrail Forest
Situated approximately 9 kilometers northeast of central Lucknow, the Kukrail Reserve Forest is a dense woodland oasis. Established in 1978 in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Forest Department and international wildlife biologists, it has successfully nurtured and released thousands of endangered gharials back into the Chambal, Girwa, and Ganga river systems.
